We are excited to announce the Jr Wildcats College Scholarship!
2023 will be our inaugural year offering the scholarships to our former Jr Wildcat student athletes that plan on attending a post secondary education institution after graduating from Will C Wood High School. We will be offering two scholarships each year, one to a former cheerleader and one to a former football player.
We want to show our student athletes that we are invested in them on the field and in the classroom. We also want to showcase that our investment simply does not stop when they graduate out of our youth program. We want to see our former Jr Wildcats excel in life beyond our program.
Jr Wildcats College Scholarship Program and Eligibility Requirements:
- You must be a graduating senior from Will C Wood High School (Vacaville, CA)
- You must have actively participated in the Will C Wood High School Football or Cheer program in your senior year or at least two previous years.
- You must have played a minimum of 2 years in the Jr Wildcats program.
- You must plan on attending a post-secondary institution after graduation and show proof of acceptance to the school you will attend
The applicant will be judged on the following criteria:
- Involvement in both the Jr Wildcats program and Will C Wood programs
- Finding the person who best represents the seven characteristics below:
Team Player
Leadership
Compassion
Determination
Giving
Confidence
Strength

- Submit the completed application & questionnaire via email to [email protected] before the deadline of 04/01 of that year.
- 2023 Scholarship amount: $500 each (one scholarship to a former cheerleader & one to a former football player).
- Scholarship is yearly (one time award to scholar).
*Please note scholarship amount awarded will be given to your post-secondary institution and put in your student account at the post-secondary institution (funds will not be personally distributed to awarded scholars).
